Beauty Budget Buys: Skincare

Hey everyone,

I have decided to start a new project called Beauty Budget Buys. I love my beauty products and I watch a lot of tutorials with the high end products so I thought I would talk about the more cheaper high street products. As requested by many other bloggers this post is going to be all about my Budget Skincare products.

  • Garnier Soft Essentials Cleanser: This is my current cleaser and I really like it because it's light on the skin and doesn't make it too greasy. You can use it to take off your make up even removes waterporoof mascara. I use this both in the morning and evening. This was £3.15 from Superdrug.
  • Simple Cleansing Lotion: This was my first ever cleanser I bought and was great for me as I was just starting out. Once again this isn't very thick so if your someone who has oily skin then your going to like it. My auntie who has sensitive skin also uses this and she really likes it fir removing her make up. This was £2.99 from Superdrug.
  • Boots Botanics Cleansing Balm:  I am currently using this to take off my make up in the evenings. I've never tried a balm so I wasn't sure if this would leave my skin feeling greasy but it didn't. This removes my make up really easily using a muslin cloth and warm water. I still use my Garnier cleanser before I go to bed though. This was £6.49 from Boots. You can read my blog for a full review of this product.
Here are a couple of other cleansers that I have seen but I've not used so let me know if you have tried them before.

  • Garnier Simply Essentials Toner: I don't always use toners but this one I am using at the moment in the Grape flavour and I really like it because it refreshes my face and gets rid of any excess make up especially around my eyes. This one is perfect for the summer time because it leaves your skin feel really refreshed so you could put it in a spritzer bottle for whenever you get hot. This was £2.99 from Superdrug.
  • Simple Soothing Toner: This was my first toner I ever bought and I really liked it. I can't really see the difference between this one and the Garnier one I mentioned. The only difference would be the smell as the Garnier one smells of grapes and has a more refreshing scent but they both leave my skin feel awake and fresh. This is £2.99 from Superdrug
Here are some other Toners that I have seen but I've not used so let me know if you have tried them.
  • Garnier Fresh Moisturiser: This has to be my favoruite moisuriser because it has such a fresh smell of grapes and it is a really good base for my foundation. This is a day cream so it won't be suitable for the night time although I'm sure you can if you want a basic skin care routine. This was £4.99 from Superdrug.
  • Simple Protecting Light Moisturiser: GUESS WHAT? This was my first moisturiser I bought and it was perfect for me because I had the typical teen skin (oily and spotty) to be fair it still is. I got the light option because I didn't want a thick moisturiser it would be too heavy on my skin and I didn't want it to be too greasy. There is a rich option for someone who has dry skin or even normal/combination. This can also be used in both morning and the evening. This was £4.99 from Superdrug.
  • Nivea Visage Tinted Moisturiser: This isn't really a moisturiser but I use this to add a little bit more colour to my face usually when I'm going on a night out. I use this on top of my normal moisturiser and it gives me a nice glow to my face when I can't be bothered to put foundation on. This was £3.65 from Superdrug
Scrubs and Face Washes:
  • St Ives Renew and Firm Scrub: I really like this scrub and I'm using it at the moment. I use it every other day and it gets deep into my pores. I have spots so the exfoliating beads (think that's what their called) get rid of my spots. You can read my blog for a full review of this product.
  • Johnson and Jonson Nourishing Cleansing Wash: This was the first face was I bought and I can't remember much about it but it freshen up my face and finish off my routine nicely. If your someone who has sensitive skin or wear a lot of make up and want to make sure that you have removed it all then this is a great product for you. This is £3.29 from Superdrug.
  • L'Oreal Skin Perfection Purifying Gel Wash: I remember using this but it was in a different packaging. I got it because it was on offer, I did like it but it made my eyes sting a little bit but on my face it did leave it feeling soft and fresh. This was £4.49 from Superdrug.
I hope you enjoyed this post and I will be doing other budget beauty buys very soon.

Let me know if you have used any of the products I have mentioned.
