My Interesting Looking Cookies | #CookWithChlo

Hey everyone,

I was thinking about starting a series called #CookWithChlo where I will share the recipes I have been loving and what they look like once I have (attempted) to cook them. Now as you know I LOVE baking and it's something that I want to do more in my spare time and I have also been (trying) to eat more healthily.

I was watching Gabby {velvetgh0st} video of her baking Toblerone Cookies so I thought I would give them a try seeing as they looked so YUMMY. However instead of the Toblerone I used milk chocolate instead. The thing is the cookies didn't turn out right the first time so I cooked them again and they didn't look all that amazing this time but they where edible (which is the main thing right?)

100g Plain Flour
100g Butter
50g Caster Sugar
50g Icing Sugar
1/4 teaspoon Bicarbonate Soda/ Baking Powder (whatever you can get)
1 bar of chocolate of your choice cut up into small pieces
1 Egg. 

1. Heat your oven to 180 degrees and line a baking tray with grease proof paper. 
2. Cream both the butter and sugar together. 
3. Beat an egg in a separate cup and gradually add it to the mixture along with the flour. 
4. Then add the Bicarbonate Soda, icing sugar and chocolate and mix together. 
5. Add about of teaspoon of the mixture to create small balls and try to space them out because the mixture will expand. 
6. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes MAXIMUM and then let them cool for about 25 minutes before you enjoy them! 

TIP: When you take the cookies out of the oven after 12 minutes they won't look like they are done but they will solidify when they start to cool.
