Valentines Make Up 2017

Hello everyone,

Any excuse to get dressed up, I am always on it. Valentines is a little bit different because I don't have a Prince Charming in my life at the moment but all the more I thought I would create a look you might want to recreate or wear for a different occasion.

I thought I would go for a neutral make up look but focus more on the lips to make them stand out a little bit more. There is nothing worse than a heavy smoky eye with a bold lip, it just looks too much. For the base, I used the L'Oreal Infallible Sculpt foundation to create a medium, flawless coverage along with the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer to highlight under the eye area and cover an blemishes. To set my make up I used the L'Oreal True Match Powder to take away any shine following along with the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess to add some warmth to my complexion. For contouring I used my Holy Grail bronzer which is of course Hoola from Benefit to add some depth to my cheekbones and chisel them out along with the Rockateur blush to add a flush of colour to my cheeks. Finally for my complexion I used the Topshop Highlight on the tops of my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone to add a subtle glow.

I love a good, strong brow so I used my 2 trusted products from Benefit. The outline and fill in the brow I used the Goof Proof Brow Pencil to add the definition and shape to the brow. To set them in place I used the Gimme Brow Gel which I find adds a bit more volume too.

Now onto the eyes. I thought I would go for a neutral colour and for me I like to stay quite subtle on the eyes or it looks too much. I found the Naked Basics Palette in my make up draw which I haven't used in ages. I used W.O.S as the base and blended Naked 2 into the crease as the transition shade. Finally I used Faint on the outer corner of my eye to give that light smokey effect but didn't look over the top and of course I used my go to mascara from Benefit, The They're Real Mascara to add the finishing touch.

Finally the lips. I didn't want to go for a red cause let's face it, that is the typical Valentines colour so I went for a berry pink. I picked up a lip gloss from the New Look make up range in 'Muted Berry' which is such a gorgeous deep pink shade and perfect for a glam evening out.

What make up would you choose for Valentines?
